USDA established Conservation Districts as local entities                           during the Dust Bowl to teach landowners best management practices to preserve soil and water. Beaufort Conservation District works closely with USDA-NRCS and our presence allows them to serve the Citizens of Beaufort County with technical assistance and cost share on farm bill services.  Link:  NRCS
