REcent awards and accolades

Debra Way, Education Specialist, has been selected by the SC Association of Conservation Districts (SCACD)  as the Outstanding Employee of the Year for 2023. She was nominated by the BSWCD Board of Commissioners and staff for her loyalty, devotion, and dutifulness. Ms. Way has been working as our part-time educator for 17 years. 

Commissioners Denise Parsick (center) and Luke Inabinett (next photo second from left) were awarded the 35 Years of Service pin as commissioners. 

Field Agent Walter Mack (far right), along with The Nature Conservancy’s David Bishop, presented his role and findings of his Beaufort County farms assessment as part of The Nature Conservancy’s Lowcountry Sentinel Landscape Partnership at SCACD's annual conference.
